I am running out of space in my studio and need to make room for new work, including the work I will be making during my upcoming residency at Kintai Arts in Lithuania. I am of Lithuanian descent on my father’s side, and have only visited once, 30 years ago. This residency offers a unique opportunity to reconnect with the land of my ancestors through visiting the places they came from and learning about the region’s unique ecosystems. Kintai is on the Curanian Lagoon, a 625 square mile body of water along the Baltic Sea that is the largest coastal lagoon in Europe.
